Empowering girls and women to break barriers and inspire future generations in the world of sports.

EMPOWERHER offers the same valuable content and coaching as  EMPOWERING ATHLETES with a focus on female athletes and the unique struggles they face in the world of sports.  Female athletes often face distinct challenges and barriers. A strong, positive mindset helps them overcome societal expectations, build resilience, and maintain focus. It fosters confidence, enabling them to push their limits and strive for excellence. Cultivating a powerful mindset and exceptional mental strength can lead to unparalleled success, allowing female athletes to overcome numerous obstacles and push through adversity to achieve greatness.

These challenges can significantly impact female participation and success in sports, highlighting the need for targeted efforts to promote gender equality and support female athletes.

  • Females and males are often socialized differently, with males being encouraged to be competitive and females to be cooperative, which can impact their approach to sports.

  • Perceptions of females as less athletic or competitive can lead to reduced opportunities and lower expectations in sports.

  • Females may face fewer opportunities to participate in sports, especially in certain areas or at certain levels, compared to males.

  • Female athletes are often underrepresented in sports performance research, leading to biases in sports medicine, injury prevention techniques and policy decisions

  • Female athletes have unique health considerations, such as hormonal fluctuations during the menstrual cycle, which are often overlooked in research and training, but can greatly impact training and performance
  • Female sports programs may receive less funding and resources than male programs, leading to disparities in facilities, equipment, and coaching
  • Sports media often focuses more on male athletes and male sports, further perpetuating the idea that sports are primarily for males.

  • Some females may experience pressure and social isolation simply because they choose to play a sport.

  • Female athletes are often portrayed through a lens that emphasizes their physical appearance rather than their athletic abilities, marginalizing their achievements

  • Females are more than 3 times as likely to drop out of sports by age 14 compared to males
